Burress Out With Ankle Injury
The New York Giants said that wide receiver Plaxico Burress will not practice again until his injured ankle heals completely.
Burress has not practiced since the Giants began their 2008 training camp on July 25th.
Burress injured the ankle before last season and didn’t practice a lot last season because of the injury.
He hasn’t practiced since before the Super Bowl, in which the Giants upset the heavily favored New England Patriots, and missed the team’s veteran minicamp in June becasue he was unhappy with his contract.
Just like the Eagles’ Brian Westbrook, Burress is unhappy with his current contract, which will play him $3.25 million in 2008.
Doctors are attempting to stabilize his ankle with orthotics.
