Mild Concussion for Anderson
Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Derek Anderson has a mild concussion following a hit he received in his team’s game against the New York Giants on Monday night.
Giants defense end Osi Umenyiora sacked Anderson in their game Monday night, one in which the Giants won 37-34.
Anderson was sacked in the second quarter of the game and landed on his head as a result of the play.
The team originally said the injury to Anderson was a ‘possible concussion’ but it was confirmed on Tuesday by the team that he was suffering from a mild concussion.
Anderson will more than likely miss the remainder of the preseason and should be ready for the team’s opener on September 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.
The team did not officially say how much time Anderson would miss.
