Beasley Fined

Micheal Beasley has been fined by the league for his incident involving two other rookies and rule breaking at the league’s rookie transition program.

Beasley was fined $50,000 for his involvement in the incident that included Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur, both teammates on Kansas, the reigning national champions.

Both Chalmers and Arthur were each fined $20,000 for their involvement.

The initial report from the league stated that the latter two were found in a hotel room with two women along with the scent of marijuana.

No drugs or drug paraphernalia was found on the premises though.

Both Chalmers and Arthur were booted from the program from the NBA.

Beasley originally did not agree with the league’s investigation but decided earlier this week to admit to the league that he was involved in the incident but no information was given as to how he was involved.

Beasley was the number 2 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft by the Miami Heat.
