Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson was suspended by the National Football League on Friday for one week, which means one game.
He has been suspended for violating the NFL’s conduct policy for his behavior regarding an incident with a woman at a bar earlier in the season.
Johnson was also suspended for two games the last couple of weeks by the Chiefs for his conduct regarding that same incident. The game he is missing this week is week two of his suspension from the team and his suspension from the league takes effect next week.
This week the Chiefs are facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will miss next week’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
Johnson has been causing trouble all season long in Kansas City after threatening to hold out with his contract and promising not to report to camp and now the incident with a woman at a bar.
Earlier this week, on Monday, Johnson was indicted for simple assault stemming from the incident and faces a court date on December 4th for the incident.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced on Thursday that they had signed center Andrew Bynum to a four year extension.
The new deal is worth a total $58 million over the four years with the Lakers. Bynum missed the majority of the 2007-08 season with knee surgery on January 13th.
He was drafted with the tenth overall pick by the Lakers in the 2005 draft. His new deal keeps him with the Lakers through the 2012-2013 season.
The team has a club option worth $16 million for the fourth year of the contract.
Bynum just turned 21 years old and is already a big part of the Lakers formula for winning a championship in the coming seasons.

It had been reported that Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork will be fined for his hit on Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in last week’s Monday Night Football game.
The Patriots demolished the Broncos, even without Brady, by a score of 41-7.
Wilfork will reportedly be fined for his hit on Cutler in the Monday night game which supposedly included an elbow to the head of Cutler.
The Broncos sent game tape to the league showing the hit but it couldn’t be found. After meeting with league commissioner Roger Goodell, Wilfork will reportedly be fined and not suspended for his actions.
He was fined a total of $35,000 last year for four different incidents he took part in during the 2007 season. He was drafted by the Patriots in the first round out ot Miami in 2004.

The Boston Celtics hoisted their 17th NBA Championship banner to the rafters of the TD Banknorth Garden.
The team also received its championship rings in a pre-game ceremony before the Celtics hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Paul Pierce, in his 10th season with the club, was brought to tears at the sight of the banner being raised to the rafters and at the sight of his new ring.
The Celtics demolished the Lakers in the clinching game of the series 131-92 at home to grab the title. It was the team’s first title since 1986.
The Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round of the playoffs and then knocked off the Cavaliers, with both series going seven games.
Boston then eliminated the Detroit Pistons in six games to grab the conference title before facing and beating the Lakers in the Finals.
