Busy Day in NFL
It was a busy day in the National Football League today.
The day consisted of one major trade, an interesting signing and another league suspension.
The major trade consisted of the Dallas Cowboys adding depth at wide receiver as they acquired Roy Williams from the winless Detroit Lions for four draft picks.
The picks are in the first round, the third round and the sixth round in 2009 and a seventh rounder in 2010.
The interesting signing belonged to the Washington Redskins who signed former league MVP and former Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander to a one year contract.
The suspension, to no one’s surprise, was given to Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones. Jones was suspended indefinitely by league commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s conduct policy.
Jones is expected to miss at least four weeks due to the suspension and possibly the rest of the season. Jones is knocking on the door of a lifetime ban from the league if he keeps this streak up of incidents.
