Bynum Signs Extension

Published by hcbb10 at 10:24 pm under NBA Edit This

The Los Angeles Lakers announced on Thursday that they had signed center Andrew Bynum to a four year extension.

The new deal is worth a total $58 million over the four years with the Lakers. Bynum missed the majority of the 2007-08 season with knee surgery on January 13th.

He was drafted with the tenth overall pick by the Lakers in the 2005 draft. His new deal keeps him with the Lakers through the 2012-2013 season.

The team has a club option worth $16 million for the fourth year of the contract.

Bynum just turned 21 years old and is already a big part of the Lakers formula for winning a championship in the coming seasons.
