Sources have been saying that Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel could be coaching his final hand full of games with the team.
The same sources believe that the organization claims that Crennel would need a miracle finish to the season to retain his job.
Crennel stated earlier this week, after learning that his QB Brady Quinn would miss the remainder of the season with a broken finger on his throwing hand, that Quinn would be the team’s starter for 2009.
The only catch is that Crennel might not be the head coach of the Browns once the 2009 season rolls around. If he does lose his job, it would more than likely be at the end of 2008 and not before the season ends.
Possible replacements would be Bill Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer, Rex Ryan, Steve Spagnuolo and Mike Mularkey.

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress spent Friday night at a hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at a night club.
Burress was suspended by the Giants earlier in the season for missing team meetings and was not present at the team’s walk through on Saturday morning in preparation for their game against the Redskins Sunday.
He was not going to play anyway because of a hamstring injury.
Burress’ wound is not life threatening but he might have to miss the remainder of the season.
He signed a five-year, $35 million contract with the Giants during the offseason after leading them to a Super Bowl win over the previously undefeated New England Patriots.

The New York Knicks have fined and suspended Stephon Marbury for one game and have told him to stay away from the team until Monday.
Marbury has refused to play for the Knicks during the 2008-09 season but has shown at home games and traveled with the team.
He is the highest paid bench warmer currently under contract in the NBA.
The fine and suspension is allegedly for refusing to play against the Detroit Pistons this past Wednesday night.
He has been fined two games’ worth of pay, totaling $400,000.
Marbury was not allowed to practice with the team on Friday and his status with the team will be re-evaluated on Monday upon his return.
He might be released by the Knicks, with a buyout of his contract, or the team could pursue a trade.

Ahh yes, practice!
Allen Iverson has done it again. He skipped his first practice as a member of the Detroit Pistons on Thursday and will be facing a hefty fine from the team.
Iverson has only be a member of the Pistons for 10 games following the trade that brought him over from the Denver Nuggets for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess earlier in the season.
Iverson will not start the Pistons’ game on Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Head coach Michael Curry has not decided whether or not Iverson will see any playing time at all on Friday.
He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Rodney Stuckey.
Iverson is averaging 18.5 ppg and 5.4 assists per game with the Pistons through ten games.
