Parker Out
Only days after posting 55 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a career high, he and the Spurs learned that Tony Parker will miss at least four weeks due to a sprained ankle.
He sprained his ankle against the Miami Heat on Friday night. The bad news comes while the Spurs are off to their worst start in 12 years.
Parker rolled his ankle while driving the lane for a layup. The Spurs are 1-4 in 2008 and went 1-5 in 1996 to start the season. They face the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
Parker is wearing a boot and using crutches to walk around after spraining his left ankle.
Before the injury, Parker was second in the league in scoring behind Cleveland’s LeBron James, averaging 27.4 points per game.
