Steelers Win AFC North

Published by hcbb10 at 9:35 pm under NFL Edit This

With a 13-9 win on Sunday evening over division rival Baltimore, the Pittsburgh Steelers clinched the AFC North Division crown for the second consecutive season.

The majority of the game was dominated by both the Steelers’ and the Ravens’ high octane defenses but a late touchdown by the Steelers sealed the win.

With 43 seconds left in the fourth quarter, wide receiver Santonio Holmes caught a four yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger to secure the win.

The Steelers are now 11-3 in 2008 after driving 92 yards in 13 plays to score the game’s only touchdown.

The Ravens led 9-6 at the start of the Steelers’ game winning drive.

This is the first time the Steelers have gone 2-0 in the regular season against Baltimore since 2002 and the win also snapped a five game losing streak for the Steelers in Baltimore.

Pittsburgh’s defense has now allowed 13 points or less in five straight games.
