Sheets Will Pitch

Published by hcbb10 under Uncategorized Edit This

The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that right handed pitcher Ben Sheets will start on Saturday for the Brewers against the Chicago Cubs.

Sheets missed his last start due to a sore elbow and removed himself from a start on September 17 against the Cubs for the same reason.

Sheets is in the final season of his contract with Milwaukee and will be a free agent at the end of the 2008 season.

He and C.C. Sabathia are trying their hardest to get the Brewers to the playoffs for the first time since 1982.

Sheets has had arm troubles all throughout his career, which has been spent entirely in Milwaukee.

His Major League career began in 2001. He has an 86-82 record through 220 games started with a 3.71 ERA. He has tallied 1,205 career strikeouts and has walked only 311 hitters.

Sheets missed significant time in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Sheets will be relied on to start the biggest game of his career on Saturday against the NL Central Cubs as they fight with the Mets for the NL Wild Card spot.

If Sheets can keep the game close and wait for the Brewers offense to wake up then he can help this team get closer to the playoffs.

Hello world!

Published by hcbb10 under Uncategorized Edit This

Hello Everyone in the Today.com world!

This blog is dedicated to the world of sports.

From football, basketball, hockey and baseball; we will cover the entire world of sports each and everyday.

We will even take a look at minor league sports as well.

How many different blogs on sports can you read?

Well, if you are like me, then you should be able to read at least 10-15 different sports blogs per day. Then again, I am an over-the-top sports fan. I am not your typical sports fan. I am a freak!

We will analyze sports games, transactions, teams and even players to the fullest extent possible.

My favorite sports teams are the four major ones in Philadelphia. I am an incredibly huge Phillies fan! Let’s go Phils! What a perfect time of year for this blog to take flight! It’s right in the middle of the baseball season, in the middle of the NBA and NHL free agency period and is only a month or so away from NFL training camps opening up.

The end of the baseball season should be an exciting one and we will be sure to cover it from top to bottom while also throwing in some stories from the NHL, NBA and NFL.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading!

Now its time to Play Ball!
